It’s that time…yep, the Nordstrom half-yearly sale! Yippeeeee! First of all, can you believe we’re already half-way through the year? SAY WHAT! This year has flown by, right?
You guys, if you haven’t checked out the sale yet, you are FOR SURE missing out. I haven’t even gone through all the pages yet but my cart is filling up realllllll fast. There are so many cute things on sale + I’m not just saying that. Seriously, go check it out. The sale ends June 5th so you can expect a few more of these round-ups for you because I just can’t get enough and…neither can my closet. Sorry, not sorry. The heart wants what it wants and your girls heart wants clothes…ALL THE CLOTHES!
Here they are, my top picks from the Nordstrom Half-Yearly…enjoy! #SALE
Pastels for days.
I’m head over heels…in deep, deep love for pastels. I especially love mixing powder pink and blue together. Back in the day, you wouldn’t catch me wearing such light colors– I used to only rock a dark color palette (years ago) but now, I honestly don’t feel myself in black. As a red head, earth tones look the best on my skin and I’m totally A-OK with that because I LOVE me some earth tones. In fact, I’m trying to get rid of all the dark colors in my wardrobe and keep the light palette going.
If you’re scared to go lighter, take it one step at a time and add a pair of pastel earrings to your dark wardrobe for a ‘pop of color’ and then work your way to making everything lighter. Or don’t..it’s your preference. But trust me, once you start wearing lighter, neutral colors…it changes your mood, in a good way. For me at least 🙂
P.S. I’m loving ruffles right now and these frill shorts are so fun!

You’ve heard me raving about this new Trouvé coat I found on sale for only $19! Can you believe it? I LOVE a good sale. I typically shop all my designer brands at places like My Sisters Closet, Last Chance, Nordstrom Rack, Poor Little Rich Girl and anywhere else I can find.
It’s thrilling and exciting to find items at a low cost. As snobby and bratty as this sounds, when I was younger I didn’t understand the thrill behind consignment stores– I couldn’t get past the idea of someone else wearing the item prior to me purchasing. Well, news flash Laci, you can wash and/or get the items dry cleaned…duh. And just like that, I was hooked. Once I started finding insanely good deals and realizing how overpriced the designer world really was, GAME ON.
You’d be surprised how many good deals are out there. You just have to have the patience and time to shop these sales. I definitely lack patience BUT…if I know I’ll be saving money AND finding super chic items, in the end…it’s worth it.

xoxo! P.S. I’m currently about to head to My Sisters Closet, Nordstrom Rack and Last Chance right now. Go to the 51 & Camelback and you can hit all 3. You’re welcome! 🙂
Bronze is on repeat in my wardrobe recently. It was definitely one of my favorite colors in 2016. That and blush. I’m sure you’ve heard me mention both colors….a lot. What’s not to love about both of those colors? Neutral palette is the way to my heart.

Well, I caved. I went ahead and bought the Kylie lip kit in the color CANDY K. I’ve read all the controversy regarding the kit and KNOW it’s very similar to the Colour Pop Cosmetics line (due to it being owned by the same company) BUT, I just couldn’t help myself. I needed to try it for myself and see what it was all about.
First thoughts…overpriced. I just can’t get over the fact that it’s almost $40 including shipping. No offense Kylie but it’s not worth $40. Especially when I can go purchase the exact same product on Colourpop for half the price. I really like the color Candy K but was hoping it was a tad bit lighter. After seeing it on other people, it looks a bit lighter on their lips BUT they are not pale white like I am. So, if you’re tan and are wanting a nude/neutral color, Candy K is it! It’s almost identical to Colour Pop’s ‘Clueless’. See below similar options!
Ultra Matte Lip ($6)
Lip Liner ($5)
Don’t get me wrong, I really do like the product and the packaging is great but I just can’t get over the price. The product itself does go on smooth and last long….and doesn’t smell bad like some reviews mention. However, I will remain a Colourpop cosmetics customer. I’m not going to say I will never buy another lip kit, because that’s not the truth. In fact, I’m wanting to try the KOKO K shade…but, in most cases, I’ll choose Colourpop over Kylie Lip Kit.
